FACULTY COORDINATOR- AICTE IDEA LAB, GCET

The AICTE IDEA Lab at GCET represents a meaningful step towards strengthening our culture of innovation and hands-on learning. In an era where technology is constantly reshaping industries, students must be given opportunities not only to learn concepts but to apply them, test them and improve them.

With the support received under the AICTE IDEA Lab Scheme (2024–25), this facility has been developed as a space where curiosity can turn into creativity and ideas can take practical shape. The lab is designed to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, experimentation, prototyping, and solution development using modern tools and emerging technologies.

As Faculty Coordinator, my objective is to ensure that the IDEA Lab becomes an active and accessible platform for students across disciplines. We aim to guide students in converting innovative thoughts into workable models, research outcomes, and technology-driven solutions that address real-world challenges. Along with technical development, we emphasize responsible innovation, teamwork, and structured problem-solving.

The IDEA Lab is not just an infrastructure addition — it is an opportunity. An opportunity for students to explore beyond the curriculum, for faculty to mentor innovation, and for GCET to further strengthen its commitment to experiential education.

I encourage every student to step into the lab with confidence, creativity and commitment and make the most of this transformative initiative.
